High-fluxed DNA Sequencing Technology and Its Application in Agricultural Science Research

摘要:

高通量测序是DNA测序技术发展中的重大突破,它的出现为现代农业科学的研究提供了前所未有的机遇。总结了以454、Solexa和SOLiD为代表的第二代高通量测序技术的原理以及HeliScope和Pacific Biosciences SMRT为代表的单分子测序技术的最新进展。在此基础上,归纳了高通量测序技术在基因组测序、转录组测序、小分子RNA及数字化基因表达谱等研究领域在农业研究中的应用。最后,指出了当前高通量测序技术的特点并对其在今后研究中的发展方向进行了展望。

Abstract:

High-throughput sequencing is a major breakthrough in DNA sequencing technology development, the emergence of high-throughput sequencing technology provided an unprecedented opportunity to modern agricultural scientific research. This paper summarized the principle of the 454, Solexa and SOLiD second-generation high-throughput sequencing technology and the latest progress of the HeliScope and Pacific Biosciences SMRT, as represented by the single-molecule sequencing technology. On this basis, the high-throughput sequencing technology was summed up in genome sequencing, transcriptome sequencing, small RNA molecules and digital gene expression profiles and other research areas in agricultural research. Finally, the characteristics and development prospect of high-throughput sequencing technology was noticed.
