SUSAN算法在植物叶缘特征提取中的应用

摘要:

叶缘特征是植物种类识别和分类的一个重要依据。根据植物学中对叶缘的描述,设计了计算机辅助植物叶缘特征提取方案。首先采用改进的SUSAN算法检测植物叶缘锯齿,然后计算叶缘锯齿数量、尖锐度、偏斜度3个特征参数。对多种类型的植物叶进行测试,结果表明,利用改进的SUSAN算法能够有效检测植物叶缘锯齿,3个特征参数体现了不同类型叶缘的形状差异,叶缘特征提取方案可用于植物叶缘定量分类。

Abstract:

Leaf margin feature is one of the important bases in plant species identification and plant classification. A scheme of computer aided feature extraction of leaf margin has been designed based on descriptions of leaf margin in botany. Firstly, the leaf teeth are detected using an improved SUSAN algorithm. Then three feature parameters of leaf teeth are computed, which are the numbers, sharpness and inclination of the leaf tooth. The scheme was tested on a few types of leaf margin. The result showed that the improved SUSAN algorithm was a useful tool in leaf tooth detection, the three parameters reflected the shape difference among different types of leaf margin and the scheme could be applied in quantitative classification of leaf margin.
