Abstract: In order to know how‘Sannong’work in Beijing was carried out through science and technology promotion by experts and professionals from agricultural colleges and universities, we study the experience and field research conducted over many years by Beijing Agriculture College(BAC). The results show that: BAC has successfully carried out mobilization and organization of teachers, experts and students to visit and interact with farmers, in order to conduct scientific research, promote agricultural technology and popularize science knowledge in the countryside. The significant achievements include establishing close relationship between experts and farmers, connecting scientific research with agricultural production, speeding up the transformation of scientific and technological breakthroughs into modern agricultural application; we also succeed in the training of new farmers, enhanced their understanding of scientific knowledge, and enable them rely on science and technology to become rich; we have devoted efforts on cultivating college students village officials, with practical skills to meet the demand of modern countryside, our experience in cultivating grass-roots talents can be a useful model for other universities.
