Abstract: As property right of intellectual achievements, the intellectual property right (IPR) is very meaningful for promoting the progress of science and technology innovation in agriculture. Agricultural research institution is the subject of agricultural knowledge innovation, producing large number of achievements of intellectual property right. However, how to protection, use these achievements to make them play a better role is a thought-provoking question for agricultural researchers. The paper expounded the management effect about IPR in agricultural research institutions; analyzed existing problems, and gave five management proposals: reinforce the strategic consciousness on IPR; perfect the management system; strengthen whole process management of scientific research project in IPR; establish IPR evaluation system; and innovate IPR transformation mechanism, To comprehensive improve IPR of agricultural research institution management ability .
