Abstract: Based on the phenomenon that the study on the relationship between the harbor and city has been hot during recent years, this article put the emphasis on the harbor-city relationships, combined the domestic and foreign research and made a summary from the perspective of the theory of port-city relationships study and evaluation model. On the theoretical level, this paper summarized four different perspectives, as follows: the harbor- city interactive effect, the life cycle of harbor- city, the growth pattern of harbor- city and the integration of harbor-city. It also outlined the harbor-city evaluation model from the aspects of harbor-city dynamics system and coordination relationship. Finally, this paper contributed a comprehensive review of harbor- city theory, evaluation model and related research for the sake of providing references for further research on the relationship of harbor-city.
