Vegetation Index Models Based on MODIS and Their Application in Grassland Ecosystem

摘要:

为了明确MODIS植被指数模型的类型以及MODIS数据在大尺度上的可用性,笔者在分析MODIS数据优势的基础上,综述了MODIS植被指数、植被指数模型以及MODIS植被指数模型在草地生态系统中的应用。MODIS数据可以直接提取NDVI和EVI 2类植被指数,还可以间接计算MSAVI和RVI等多种植被指数;利用MODIS植被指数可以建立线性回归模型和非线性的多种曲线模型,它们可以用在草地生态系统的净初级生产力估算、草地退化监测等方面。MODIS植被指数还可以在草地面积提取、草地碳储量估算等方面进一步的应用。

Abstract:

In order to define the type of vegetation indices of MODIS and the usability on a larger scale, based on the analysis of the advantages of MODIS data, the vegetation indices of MODIS, vegetation index models and their applications in grassland ecosystem were reviewed. Two kinds of vegetation indices, such as NDVI and EVI could be directly extracted from MODIS data, and other vegetation indices such as MSAVI and RVI could be indirectly calculated from MODIS data too. Using MODIS vegetation indices, the linear regression model and some nonlinear curve models may be established, and they can be used in the estimation of the net primary productivity (NPP) in grassland ecosystem and the monitoring of grassland degradation and so on. And the further applications of MODIS vegetation indices in area extraction and carbon storage estimation of grassland ecosystem were prospected.
