Abstract: This paper took new city community park as the object of study and summed up the concept and features of Metro Community Park. The starting point of this article was to incorporate the concept of characteristics creating into the design of the park of the new city, then made a detail analysis with respect to the elements of the landscape and humanistic characteristics respectively. As to the elements of the landscape, create a city landscape close to nature from four aspects of landform, road, water and plants. As to humanistic characteristics, embody the charm of city construction through the consideration to vulnerable groups and the excavation of local culture. At last, made a conclusion to the “people-oriented” and “cultural heritage” and “public participation” construction principles through the thinking of the new city community park construction and hoped to give a certain guidance and reference to the new city construction.
