摘要： 生态农业既代表全球现代农业发展的新途径，又代表可持续农业发展的一种具体形式。加强中国西部地区生态农业的开发建设，必将有利于西部地区农业的全面开发，并推动该地区农村经济的发展。西部地区生态农业建设可重点开发以下四大工程：农田生态建设工程、林业建设工程、绿色食品开发工程和旅游农业开发工程。
