摘要： 甜菜夜蛾Spodoptera exigua (Hübner)作为近年来危害日益严重的一种农业害虫，给农业生产造成了严重的损失，对于它的认识和相关防治研究越来越受到人们的重视。文章综述了国内外关于甜菜夜蛾的危害、生物学特性、实验生态学、实验室饲养等方面的研究进展，并探讨了甜菜夜蛾以后的研究方向。

Abstract: Beet armyworm Spodoptera exigua (Hübner) is a kind of agricultural pest that has more and more harm to agriculture recently. So the research to this pest had got more and more notice. This article summarized the research advance about harm, biological characteristics, laboratorial ecology, artificial breeding, suppression action etc. of beet armyworm.
