Abstract:

Geomancy forests are the product of combining of particular Chinese geomancy, botany, architecture, aesthetics and other subjects. They are natural or cultivated vegetation communities of favorable ecological, landscape and cultural values which have been strictly protected and influenced by geomantic theory after years of historical heritage. Researches on vegetation ecology, ecological applications, development history and other aspects of geomancy forests are reviewed. The definition of geomancy forest in the community and the research direction of geomancy forest are proposed.
