Abstract: To study, in terms of ecotype, the eco-diversity of germplasm resources in national well-known high quality herbs of Codonopsis pilosula (Franch.) Nannf. in Shanxi. Collecting the germplasm resources of C. pilosula (Franch.) Nannf in eco-areas of Shanxi, see about their characters of biology, yield, anti-illness, and anti- aphides with 14×3 random group arrangement, and F or t test were carried out to analyze the difference significance or compare each other. Fourteen germplasm resources of C. pilosula (Franch.) Nannf were collected, and the significant differences (P<0.01或0.05) of biological character, quality character, productivity, disease-resistant, and anti-aphides of above 14 herbs were observed. On the other hand, there were the obvious differences of habitats, procreating character, plant property. Then the germplasm resource characteristics were reviewed. There are abundant ecotypes for the germplasm resources of C. pilosula (Franch.) Nannf in Shanxi, and the 14 herbs should be developed and utilized further.
