Abstract: The ancient village is a precious historical and cultural heritage, its afforestation and beautification construct had become a new topic.This paper reviewed some of the recent studies on the protection and construction of ancient village; Take two villages-Chenzhai village,FuShan township and Longxian village,Fangshan township for example, analyzed the present situation,characteristics and existing problems of the afforestation and beautification;summarized the overall mentality of ancient village afforestation and beautification; Put forward the following afforestation and beautification method of ancien village: (1)Form "external, internal and external channel" layout structure; (2) Construction in accordance with the "point, line, surface" combined form; (3) adhere to the "protection first,construction second" principle, take the "inheritance - Development - innovation" road.
