Abstract: In order to figure out main pests of Camellia oleifera in Hunan, the risk analysis of oil-tea pest was conducted by the methods including multi-criteria evaluation, risk assessment indices and experience formula. According to integrated information of 172 species, five fields with 16 risk factors, i.e., the distribution area of pest, harmful levels, biological characteristics, ecological characteristics and the difficulty of prevention control were considered in the risk analysis. The analysis results showed that oil-tea pests in Hunan Province were ranked four risking classifications. Curculio chinensis, Bacchisa atritarsis, Euproctis pseudoconspersa were included in the first classification, which were the frequent disaster pests. And Basilepta melanopus, Casmara patrona, Biston marginata, Caliron camellia, Conogethes punctiferalis, Sympiezomias citri, Linoclostis gonatias, Colaspoides opaca, Homona magnanima were ranked in the second classification, which were the incidental disaster pests. Other species were general pests or no damaged to Camellia oleifera. Meanwhile, control methods of pests belonging to different classifications were discussed.
