Abstract: The paper aims to explore the response mechanism of seed germination in soil seed bank to temperature change in the future, the authors studied the effect of different temperature treatments (10℃/20℃, 20℃/30℃) on seed germination density, species composition, height and biomass of seedlings in soil seed bank in Seriphidium tranasillense desert by adopting simulation temperature control method. The results showed that: the seed germination quantities of soil seed bank under inside and outside fence and the total soil seed bank decreased after increasing temperature, and the species richness under low temperature was higher than that of high temperature; the inhibition of seed germination in soil seed bank in inside fence was higher than that of outside fence; the warming inhibited the seed germination quantities of S. tranasillense, Malcolmia africana, Piptatherum kokanicum, Lappula myositis, Ceratocarpus arenarius, Stipa capillata, and promoted the germination quantities of Eragrostis minor and Chenopodium serotinum. Warming inhibited the plant height of S. tranasillense and M. africana, decreased the total biomass and height of germination seedlings community, and promoted plant height of E. minor. In conclusion, warming was unfavorable for the seed germination in the soil and its growth of germination seedling in Seriphidium tranasillense desert.
