Abstract: The comprehensive development and utilization of sweet potato in the respects of variety, production and processing were expatiated. It is put forward that the key to sustainable development for sweet potato industry is improving the scientific research on sweet potato breeding, strengthening the research and popularization for planting technique of sweet potato, widening and deepening the research and development of products with sweet potato as raw material, enhancing the industrialization level of sweet potato allsidedly.
