Abstract: Plant height and stem cell length of wheat in response to enhanced ultraviolet-B radiation (UV-B) under the field condition is studied, results show that plant height of wheat is decreased significantly by enhanced UV-B radiation, which is attributed to the decrease of the length of stem node, while the number of stem node remains unchanged, and the decreased percentage of stem node length is different, the length of lower stem node decrease more than the others. The shorten of forth and fifth stem node length in response to enhanced UV-B radiation are mainly attributed to the decrease of the cell number per stem node, while the shorten of second and third stem node length are mainly attributed to the decrease of the cell length. There are significantly positive correlation between the shorten of leaves and stem node.
