A new highly sensitive chemiluminescence method was developed for the determination of arsenic in water Samples, based on arsenic being enriched and separated from other ions on the column of Sulfhydryloted cotton and CL reaction of KMnO4-TMP-Na2S2O3.The detection limit was 6.0×10-4mg/L(3a). The linear range was at 0.10~10mg/L. The parallel determination was done 12 times and the relative standard deviation was on more than 3.4%. The recovery was at the range of 96.5 to 108. The propsed method has been applied to the determination of trace arsenic in water samples with satisfied results.
