Abstract:

To further improve the quality of forest Panax notoginseng in Yunnan Province, liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS) technique combined with multivariate statistical analysis was used for the screening and KEGG annotation of sugar alcohols, vitamins and other classes of differential metabolites in the roots of forest P. notoginseng applied with microbial fungicides. A total of 82 metabolites were detected in the 2 groups of P. notoginseng roots. There were 26 different metabolites, 11 up-regulated, including 9 sugar alcohols and 2 vitamins; 15 down-regulated, including 11 sugar alcohols, 2 vitamins and 2 others. Some sugar alcohols and vitamin metabolites, such as D-threitol, ribulose-5-phosphate and vitamin C (ascorbic acid), were increased in P. notoginseng roots with microbial fungicide application, which showed that microbial fungicide application had some promotion effect on the quality improvement of P. notoginseng under the forest. However, microbial fungicide application also led to a decrease in the content of some metabolites in P. notoginseng, such as sodium ferulate, piscidionl A and D-glucosamine.
