Abstract: Key meteorological factors impacting forest fire risk rating of Fujian were defined by the model of forest fire risk rating, based on the meteorological data of 67 weather stations from 1971 to 2006. Meteorological data were then classified by administrative division and forest fireproof period, and temporal and spatial contributions of the key meteorological factors were analyzed by statistical method. The results showed that meteorological factors impact on forest fire risk rating of various regions were different. Influence of minimum relative humidity and temperature difference on north and west Fujian, evaporation on west and southeast coast of Fujian, and the precipitation on southeast coast were relatively large. The forest fire risk rating was higher in January, secondly in February, November and December, while lower in other periods due to the temporal distribution of key meteorological factors.
