Abstract: Riboswitches are defined as a class of the mRNA compoments at mRNA3'-or the 5'-UTR which can be combined with small molecule metabolites to control gene transcription and translation. Riboswitches, which come from an RNA-based primitive world, are of catholic concern.This thesis sums up the mechanism of action and application of riboswitches.
