Abstract:

The aim was to study the effect of persistent flooding on the nutrient absorption and output of wheat. The experiments were performed on the lime concretion black soil of the original soil column, installing six treatments, each treatment burying the corresponding root bags. In the jointing stage of wheat, the subject was flooded continually by nine days. During those days, the root bags were collected each day. Overall measurement was sampled by uniform of the stalks after the flood. The wheat growth was significantly suppressed by water-logging with a lower biomass and subsequently, a decreased output. Besides, the decrease of output varied in proportion to the flooding time. Persistent submergence damaged the ability of wheat to absorb nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium, and consequently, caused the decrease of nitrogen content and biomass. Compared with the result of control according to the t-test, the effect of flooding is significant or greatly significant. Flooding exerted a great passive impact upon the growth of wheat. It was found that the absorption and accumulation of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium were significantly inhibited, causing the decrease of biomass and output to an impressive degree.
