Abstract:

Seed with two different vigor level of Salvia splendens were treated by PEG, KNO3, PEG+KNO3 at different concentrations. The results showed that (1)After treated by 1.0% PEG for 12h the germination percentage were both increased by 16.7. (2)After treated for 12h with 2.5% KNO3 in High-quality seed and Poor-quality seed, the germination percentage were increased by 20,26.7 separately. (3)The best priming effect was obtained at the treatment of 1.0% PEG+2.5% KNO3,soaking 12h, The germination percentage of High-quality seed and Poor-quality seed was raised from 50.0% to 73.3% and from 26.7% to 53.4% respectively after priming.
