Abstract:
Effect of planting density and fertilizer application onPinellia ternata yield and total alkaloids was studied in order to provide basis forPinellia ternata high-yield and good-quality cultivation measure. 3 factors and 5 levels universal rotatory experimental design method was adopted to carry out field trials. Gravimetric method was used to determine total alkaloids’content. Materialitylevel of cultivation measure’s effect on Pinellia ternata yield and total alkaloids was: planting density>application of P2O5>application of organic fertilizer. Planting density had the biggest influence onPinellia ternata yield and total alkaloids, followed by application of phosphorus. Application of organic fertilizer had little influence. During Pinellia ternata cultivation, density, application of organic fertilizer and phosphorus should be kept within reasonable limits, which was beneficial toPinellia ternate yield improvement and total alkaloids accumulation.
