Abstract:
Musella lasiocarpa (Franch) C. Y. Wu ex H. W. Li is endemic in southwest China, the genus has only one species, belonging to the family Musaceae. The plant could be used as herb, food, fodder, ornamental, paper making, weave, soil and water conservation, ecological restoration and so on. The natural resource distribution, biological characteristics, chemical constitutents as well as application value and foreground of Musella lasiocarpa plant were reviewed in this paper.
