Abstract: The whole histological structure of Elaphurus davidianus’s labialis was observed on routine paraffin sections that were stained with H.E. The whole structure of lip shows:1)Like many other ruminants, the outer part of lip is covered by skin and its lining is mucosa , between skin and mucosa exits a great number of connective tissue among which is ample striated muscule.2)The basic structure of hair follicle includes internal root sheath ,external root sheath and hyaline layer; Medulla,cortex and cuticle of hair compose the structure of hair from centre to the outer layer. 3)There are abundant nerve,blood vessels and glands around hair follicle, the glands are composed of labial gland ,sweat gland and sebaceous gland.
