Abstract:

A field experiment was carried out to study the effects of four different planting density, 23500 plants/hm2, 20250 plants/hm2, 18000 plants/hm2 and 16500 plants/hm2, on growth duration, agronomic characters, quality and yield. The results showed: 16500-23500 plants/hm2, with the increase of planting density, plant height of flue-cured tobacco, effective number of leaves, leaf area coefficient of one plant, inter node length increased, while stem diameter, length and width of leaf, weight per leaf decreased; Content of total sugar and reducing sugar increased, while content of nicotine, total nitrogen and protein decreased. Under this experimental range, the treatment of 16500 plants/hm2 had the highest proportion of fair class leaf and production value, being 47.43% and 38680.95 yuan/hm2 respectively, the chemical components were more harmonious.
