Abstract: In order to study the status of intensive use of county urban land, the author took the Yellow River Delta City Group as the study area, which was developed late but representative, then based on the characteristics of the study area, evaluated and analyzed the condition of urban land intensively utilizing of the 19 districts from land input level, land use degree, land output efficiency and land eco-environment quality by improved analytic hierarchy process and then drew the thematic map of the degree of land intensive use of the19 districts (counties) by GIS. The result showed that: Guangrao County’s comprehensive evaluation scores was 63.4539 and the highest, Zhanhua County was 8.6519 and the lowest. On land input level, Guangrao County was the highest and Lijin County was the lowest, the scores were 88.3224 and 5.7364, respectively. On land use intensity, Shouguang City was the highest and Hekou District was the lowest, the scores were 83.4258 and 3.7468, respectively. On land output efficiency, Guangrao County was the highest and Zhanhua County was the lowest, the scores were 89.0062 and 1.9548, respectively. On land eco-environment quality, Laizhou City was the highest and Zhanhua County was the lowest, the scores were 94.0085 and 11.9175, respectively. Thus, it was concluded that, not only was the urban land intensive utilization level of Yellow River Delta Area low overall, but the difference between each city was significant. So, according to the problem in land using, some suggestions should be put forward to improve urban land intensive utilization.
