Abstract: Sweet potato‘Wanshu No.10’, a new fresh edible variety with high quality and high yield, was bred by Chongqing Three Gorges Academy of Agricultural Sciences. To promote the variety’s yield-increasing potential and high yield cultivation measures, the effects of different fertilizers and densities on yield and quality were further explored. The results showed that density and fertilizer had significant influence on the cultivation of fresh edible sweet potato‘Wanshu No.10’, and different fertilizer treatments had extremely different effect on yield, starch and soluble sugar content of fresh potato‘Wanshu No.10’; different density treatments only had extremely different effect on starch, but had significantly different effect on fresh potato production. The interaction between the two factors had very significant effect on starch content. In the cultivation of‘Wanshu No.10’, the fertilizer factor is more important than density factor on yield and quality. To achieve high starch yield, it is necessary to have a suitable ratio of fertilizer and density. Under the condition of agricultural humus fertilizer of 525 kg/hm2 and planting density of 75000 plants/hm2, fresh edible sweet potato‘Wanshu No.10’can achieve high yield and high quality.
