By using RAPD analysis, the paper analyzed the phylogenetic relationship of Sibirian apricot( A. sibirica L.=P. sibirica L.), Shanmei apricot( A. vulgaris L. var. Meixionensis Zhang), Liguang apricot(A. vulgaris L. var. glabra S. X. Sun), 8 cultivars (Luotuohuang, Dayubada, Dapiantou, Huluxing, Qingdaodahongxing, Chuanzhihong, Shanhuangxing and Beianhedahuangxing) of common apricot (A. vulgaris L. = P. armeniaca L. ) and 4 cultivars (Longwangmao, Yiwofeng, Baiyubian and Youyi ) of "DA BIAN" apricot.The result showed that: 1) "Longwangmao", "Baiyubian" and "Yiwofeng" are closely related; 2) Among these three groups , "DA BIAN" is the product of A. sibirica L.(=P. sibirica L.) and A. vulgaris L.(= P. armeniaca L. ), it shared a high similarity with both. The evidence shows that "DA BIAN" apricot is surely the natural hybrid of A. vulgaris L.(= P. armeniaca L. ) and A. sibirica L.(=P. sibirica L.).Cluster analysis supports the scientific opinion that "DA BIAN" apricot is the natural hybrid of A. vulgaris L.( =P. armeniaca L. ) and A. sibirica L.(=P. sibirica L.).
