Correlation of Hardness and Some Characters of Peach Fruit

Abstract: 16 peach varieties were collected as experimental materials to study the relationship between fruit hardness and fruit characters.It was showed that pulp hardness of peach fruit was highly significantly correlated with its Vc content, with a correlation coefficient of 0.72,rind hardness and Vc content were significantly correlated with a correlation coefficient of 0.52,and pulp hardness and soluble pectin content were also significantly correlated with a correlation coefficient of 0.58.Besides,there was significant correlation between the content of Vc and soluble pectin in fruit of different peach varieties,and the correlation coefficient was 0.58.
