Abstract:

Traditional liquid-liquid extraction has been replaced by new environmental sample preparation techniques gradually. Liquid-phase microextraction (LPME), liquid membrane extraction (LME) and counter-current chromatography (CCC) are environment-friendly pretreatment techniques for environment sample which complete sampling, extracting and concentration in one step. LPME and LME are essentially miniaturized liquid-liquid extraction; CCC combines advantages of liquid-liquid extraction and partition chromatography as a new type of chromatographic separation techniques. All three techniques have high efficiency in trace/ultra-trace enriching and purification. The review introduced advantages and disadvantages of LPME, LME and CCC and their application in environment sample.
