Abstract:

Simply describes the background of the development of recreational fishery in Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Shanghai and related research results of it. There were three development motives of recreational fishery in Yangtze River Delta region. First, leisure agriculture became one of the choices of national strategy because of its huge market demand. Second, fishery industrial structure adjusted in whole country. Third, local government increased investment. Refined and elaborated the different development models of recreational fishery in Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Shanghai. By comparison, different modes had difference in development concept, tourist’s distribution, and business entities and so on. Development proposals put forward that establishing strategic alliances, unifying industry standards, broadening channels of development, promoting sports fishing, mining fishing culture, and focused on protection of ecological resources, would be conducive to the further development of recreational fishery in the three provinces.
