Abstract:

In order to reveal the genetic differences among tree peony cultivars, the genomic polymorphisms of 20 tree peony cultivars were studied by SRAP-PCR technique and the phylogenetic tree was constructed with UPGMA method. The results showed that 131 clear and stable DNA bands were amplified by 20 pairs SRAP primers, among which 90 bands were polymorphic, the percentage of polymorphic bands was 68.7%. It suggested there were abundant genetic diversity among tree peony cultivars. The UPGMA results indicated that the partial cultivars with the same or different flower forms sometimes clustered together in different case. These results demonstrated that the cluster results were correlated with flower forms of tree peony cultivars, but it had not similar relationships.
