Abstract:
In order to study the effect of ozone-biological activated carbon process in removing organism and part of the inorganic of circulating water of factory germination process, and the impact of different kinds of water on the characteristics of bean sprouts, the author simulated factory germination process, utilized various water for cultivating bean sprouts. Then the water quality and the characteristics of bean sprouts were analyzed with the methods of correlation and variance analysis. The results showed that ozone-biological activated carbon process was very effective. The average removal rates of total phosphorus, COD, total organic carbon were 50.90%, 60.19%, 67.51% respectively. Among the inorganic, the average removal rates of iron, nitrate, nitrite, sulfate, phosphate were 80.68%, 22.84%, 55.17%, 21.46%, 42.67% respectively. The sprouts yield, length of hypocotyl, diameter of hypocotyl and length of root correlated significantly negative with the content of total phosphorus, COD, total organic carbon, nitrate, nitrite and phosphate of the circulating water (P<0.01). Ozone-biological activated carbon process was very effective in removing organism and part of the inorganic of circulating water of factory germination process. All the indexes completely met the new drinkable water standard of China. Circulating water and its purified water lowered the characteristics of bean sprouts to some extent. The impact of different kinds of water on the qualities of bean sprouts was significant.
