Abstract:

Cotton DUS test guidelines revision (2010) with 2008 edition cotton DUS test guidelines compared reflects more practical and efficient advantage in the choice of test traits, but for some, the division of the characters will side on grading not accurate enough refinement, in the practice application still exist in the quality traits of some false choice whether you choose, the determination of standard varieties and approximate varieties such as how to choose, etc. This paper analyzes and discusses the reason of the existence of the these problems, and puts forward the corresponding countermeasures and suggestions, in order to provide some references for the general cotton breeders and succeeding work of cotton DUS testing.
