Abstract:
To study the dominant seed-borne fungi of Cistanche deserticola seeds which were from different producing area. Petri-dish testing was used to determine the external (washing and seed) and internal (seed disinfection and seed kernel disinfection) seed-borne fungi of the seed. The result indicated that Aspergillus spp., Alternaria spp., Fusarium spp., Penicillium spp. and Eurotium spp. were the main seed-borne fungi of Cistanche deserticola. There was few difference in the type of the fungi among producing areas but differences in the isolation frequency of the fungi. It would provide a scientific basis for instituting standard of seed C. deserticola.
