Abstract:

Due to the influence of climate and human activities, the soil salinization problem in arid irrigated area of northwestern China has become more serious and has been the hot research topic in recent years. The author reviewed the status of soil salinization in northwest arid irrigated area and summarized the existing research methods and content. At last, the author put forward the existing problems and some ideas for future research: (1) in the study of salt and water movement in arid irrigated area, the salinity source had not been conformed and further research was needed; (2) the irrigation methods in arid irrigated area faced a number of difficult problems, especially the influence of salt-water irrigation to salinization, which were need further research; (3) in the study of soil salinization control, people can use a combination of many techniques together to gains that achieve an optimum method.
