Abstract:

The Salak is shade-requiring plant and shading treatment plays an important role for the growth of Salack, the author conducted the effect of different shading treatments on the development of Salack. This experiment was treated with 4 treatment as non-shading (CK), 25% shading (S1), 50% shading (S2), 75% shading (S3), coconut leaf shading on the cultivation of Salack. The results showed that there were significant differences among different treatments on the development of Salak (P<0.05). The best treatment showed as followed: 75% shading＞50% shading＞coconut leaf shading. The shading treatment had effect to improve the growth of Salak. These results provided the valuable informations for mass production of Salak.
