Research on detection methods of inedible pigment illegally added to food

Abstract:

This paper described the property, hazard and detection methods of seven inedible pigments--- Auramine O, Basic OrangeⅡ, Acid Orange Ⅱ, Sudan, Rhodamine B, Lead chrome green and Malachite green,which were announced in the sixth batch illegal additives to foods by Ministry of Health.It also analysised advantages,disadvantages and applicability.The future detecting techniques will trend to be faster,more accurate , efficient, environmental, lower cost and higher degree of automation. establish non-edible pigment detection method, and the need to develop different methods for different detection standards.Related departments should establish simultaneous determination methods of multiple non-edible pigments and formulate standard different methods for specific requirements.
