Abstract:

Optimum stubble height of main crop is a key technique to obtain high yield of ratoon rice. In this paper we reviewed the effects of stubble height of main crop on growth duration, characteristics of growth and development, economic traits and grain yield, the growth of root system in ratoon rice and so on current status of the factors of determining the optimum stubble height. In addition, we put forward to the prospects of research on stubble height of main crop in the future in order to ensure high yield of ratoon rice.
