Abstract: This paper studied the effects of different organic acids on growth, physiological and biochemical characteristics, nutrients content and accumulation of flue-cured tobacco by the method of water-culture. The results showed that organic acids could promote the growth of flue-cured tobacco, increase the content of leaves chlorophyll, the activities of nitrate reductase, invertase, amylase of leaves and root activities, reduce the content of MDA in flue-cured tobacco. Organic acids could also increase the accumulation of N, P, K in flue-cured tobacco. But effects of different kind organic acids was difference, malic acid, citric acid and lactic acid was better than that of benzoic acid and humic acid.
