Abstract:
For exploring the advantage of AFLP molecular marker in constructing the cotton fingerprinting, 31 cultivars of conventional cottons in team B, hybrid cottons in team C attending the 2009 and 2010 national regional trials were used for DNA fingerprinting. Two pairs of core AFLP primer were used for polymorphism analysis. Forty-four polymorphic bands were obtained which took 28.39% of total amplified bands. A primary DNA fingerprint database was established with 44 polymorphic bands. The cluster analysis showed that, all tested-cultivars could be completely identified at 0.92 similarity index level, and conventional cottons almost cluster together preferentially in different extent, so as hybrid cottons.
