Abstract:

To study the effect of saponins from sea cucumber waste on anti-tumor and main immune organs, the models were established by implanting sarcoma S180 (S180) cells into subcutaneous of healthy mice. Different methods had been taken to treat the S180 tumor mice respectively. By stripping the tumor tissue and immune organs from S180 tumor mice, the growth rate of weight, spleen index, thymus index was measured. The results showed that the inhibition rate by intraperitoneal injection was 60.29% (P<0.05) and 37.70% (P<0.01) by gavage. Comparing with the positive control group, Sea Cucumber saponins had little effect on the growth of mice, could promoted the growth of its immune organs. The experiment provided an effective basis for anti-tumor activity of sea cucumber saponins.
