Abstract: The distribution of lowland and upland rice varieties in Hebei Province tolerance to cold, drought and salt was analyzed on the basis of stress tolerance identification, and the detailed study on cold tolerance and drought tolerance which showed higher tolerant frequency was conducted in lowland and upland rice, maturity, rice growing region etc. The result showed that the cold tolerant and drought tolerant varieties had higher frequency and strength, the cold tolerant varieties was up to 86.44%, high tolerant rate was 23.53%, the drought tolerant varieties was 48.77%, high tolerant rate was 31.65%, the salt tolerant varieties was only 6.46%, no varieties showed high tolerance and tolerance. The frequency of cold tolerant varieties in lowland rice was higher than that in upland rice, and the frequency in different maturity types was close to each other, and the frequency increased with the increase of latitude, westward of longitude and decrease of temperature. The frequency and strength of drought tolerant varieties in upland rice were all higher than in lowland rice, early season rice with early maturity had the highest tolerant frequency, other maturity types were relatively close to each other, the northeast region of Hebei was high, the northwest and central region of reservoirs and shallow lakes was low.
