Abstract:

In order to speed up the exploitation and permanent utilization of wild Rhododendron Linn. plant resources in Shaanxi, the distribution of wild Rhododendron Linn. plant resources in Qinling Mountains was studied by means of reading reference, investigation in field and discriminate specimens. The results indicated that there were 16 species in Qinling Mountains. They were distributed in high elevation and showing vertical distribution regularity. Based on the character and use, Rhododendron plant resources were classified into ornamental plant, medicinal resources and other resources, and their using value were expounded. The study provided scientific evidences for further exploitation and utilization of Rhododendron wild resources in Qinling Mountains.
