Abstract:

The suppressions, exerted by nine kinds of herbicides with foliar-treatment, on corm formation of E. plantagineiformis were tested in plastic keg naturally, for screening herbicide to control corm of E. plantagineiformis. The results showed that, the number of E. plantagineiformis corm was completely suppressed by pyrazosulfuron?carfentrazone-ethyl with an active ingredient dose of 54 g/hm2 and of 67.5 g/hm2. When dose of pyrazosulfuron was 45, 52.5 g/hm2, the inhibitory percentage nearly amounted to 100%. Being treated by MCPA-sodium with an active ingredient dose of 756, 924 g/hm2, the inhibitory percentage was 95.04%, 99.43% in number and 95.68%, 99.62% in yield. There was lower suppression in corm number, and efficient inhibition in yield and size after being treated by bensulfuron-methyl?carfentrazone-ethyl at 57 g/hm2 and 68.4 g/hm2. However, there were small effects on the number, yield and size of E. plantagineiformis corm which had been treated by other tested herbicides involving fluroxypyr, bentazone and carfentrazone-ethyl.
