Advances in Research Bacterial Wilt of Ginger in China

Abstract: Bacterial Wilt of Ginger is widespread in which ginger are planted. The pathogen was caused by Ralstonia solanacearum .It had a wide host range and could infect 44 families and over 300 plants.The thalli were short poleour and the wide white ringe and narrow white ringe were observed when it was cultured in TZC medium. The strain was devided into five physiologic races and five. It belongs to I in physiologic races and II、III、IV in biochemical types. The disease is a soil disease which is very difficult in its control and it is even more serious,especially when the temperature,humidity ,rain and nitrogen fertilizer were higher.Our reseacher in phytopathology have had a lot of work for it. This paper reseach advances for Bacterial Wilt of Ginger in Pathogen,occurrence regulation,control and so on,were overviewed .
