Abstract: It was investigated that Platycladus orientalis plantations soil fertility changing of the horizontal zone of steep slope on Loess Plateau. The results indicated that : in the 80㎝ soil matter, total nitrogen, available nitrogen, available potassium and the cation exchange capacity were enhanced by 141.0%,18.8%,20.9% and 48.0%, respectively, and pH decreased by 4.7%. In the soil horizon of 0~40㎝ and 41~80㎝, calcium carbonate decreased by 6.3%~16.8% and enhanced by 11.6%~24.0%, respectively too.
