Abstract: Agar as the sole carbon source, to separation the screening plant height enzyme Agarolytic bacteria Z705 from rotting seaweed. The colony morphology, physiological and biochemical properties and enzyme activity was studied, and the clone its 16 s rDNA sequence, molecular identification.The results show that Z705 is gram negative, a short rod; strain Z705 displayed a high sequence similarity with Stenotrophomonas maltophilia (99%). According to its morphological, physiological and biochemical properties and the homology analysis of 16S rDNA sequence, strain Z705 was identified as Stenotrophomonas sp.
