Research Progress on Orchard Sod Culture

Abstract: Orchard sod culture is the technique popularly adopted by developed countries to manage the orchard, which can meliorate the physical and chemic characters of soil, adjust the environment of orchard, affect the growth of fruit trees and increase the yield and improve the quality of fruit. There is competition of nutrient and water between grass and fruit trees. In the early phase of sod culture., orchardgrass decrease trees' growth and influence the earlier yield, which due to the orchardgrass influence the transportation and distributing of nutrient and water. Orchard sod culture system combined with livestock makes the orchard ecosystem comprehensive with widely foreground.
